Thunderstorms could not keep the fashion flock away from last night’s New York premiere of Focus Film’s TAKING WOODSTOCK. Director Ang Lee introduced his latest film to a theatre filled with everyone from fashion’s reigning queen, Anna Wintour to designer Anna Sui to cast members Liev Schreiber and Emile Hirsch.  After the film the crowd braved the looming clouds and headed to the Bowery Hotel for the after party.  DJ Artie Kenney kept the mood in the room very Woodstock with the sounds of Jimi Hendrix and The Grateful Dead.  Attire at the event was hippie chic with everything from fringe, florals and tie dye.  My Alexander McQueen multi-color butterfly dress was a big hit.  ... Read more

John Varvatos does it again! This time the shoot involved his more upscale clothing, which can transition from work into a night on the town. Modernized suits with rock ‘n’ roll details are Varvatos’s specialty. He won the CFDA awards in 2005 and has won GQ’s designer of the year in 2007. John Varvatos continues to get his hands into new projects and continues to expand his growing men’s line.

John Varvatos is a designer known to combine tailored with untailored. Sean looked dapper in the classic selection of suits and shirts and linen pants and sweaters. John Varvatos added a bit more shine to this season’s selection with metallic threads and grey and silver details. He always knows how to add a touch of the modern rock star!
