I'm Gilty: Greta

We saw fashion blogger Gretchen Eagan of Greta’s Guide on weardrobe wearing her Fashion’s Night Out tee. We just had to find out more.

• Tell us about your Fashion’s Night Out outfit.
• I love to mix a little luxe with a sweet graphic tee to balance things out. I wore this outfit to the Weardrobe Conference NYC because it made me feel comfortable and confident. I tucked it into my favorite All Saints bubble skirt, belted high on my waist, and finished it all off with a pair of sky-high platform patent-leather Tory Burch sandals, oversize Tom Ford sunglasses and an electric-purple Nooka watch. That little pop of color always makes me feel like my outfit is complete.

• How did you customize your tee?
• I opted for the slightly larger size because I knew I wanted it a bit baggier, and I can't wait to pair it with leggings this fall. I rolled the sleeves in a sort of asymmetrical way to give it that Jetsons-style shoulder. I safety-pinned the fabric into place on the reverse side of the tee up near the collar. Then I tucked it in and pulled it out slightly to give it a fuller shape. Voila!

• Tell us about your first Gilt purchase.
• I remember when I received my Gilt invite and I thought, "Yes! I’ve made it into the fashion insiders' club." Now Gilt has become a part of my week. My boyfriend and I even email back and forth so I can secure his okay on purchases before I check out!

• Give us one really great style secret.
• My style secret is to invest in a great handbag. I bought my first (and only) Balenciaga bag in London last year; I knew it was a big purchase but one that would last a lifetime.

• What do you covet for fall?
• I’m a shoe addict and I yearn for every hot style coming out this season: ankle booties, black engineer boots with a side buckle, wellies and my favorite, the over-the-knee boot. I've already snatched up a pair of those! Such a fashion-forward piece, they can be worn with a variety of outfits, and will always ensure that heads are turned.

• Complete this sentence: “After Labor Day, you really should wear…”
• You should wear a scarf! A scarf can do so much to transform and complete an outfit. The change of seasons brings that cool breeze and a great opportunity to add a little personality to your look. I’m all about layers, so loosely wrapping a scarf around your neck — even while going sleeveless — gives a little more dimension and is a great way to bring in some of those key fall colors.
