Tory Burch: My Seven Reasons to Love Fall

1.  A great coat is a must-have for fall. Dries Van Noten’s belted cashmere coats are at the top of my list. I also like pairing printed dresses, like our Aerin or Zorra dresses, with a sweater and tough leather boots. It’s a little bit tomboy.

 
2. The best evenings are the ones where I cook for my friends and family at home. I plan on making my way through the recipes in Park Avenue Potluck Celebrations, including one tasty-looking dish called Filet Mignon a la Creme. Part of the proceeds from the book benefit The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
 
3. Giving back is incredibly important to me. That's part of the reason I designed a rug for Fashion Underfoot, which benefits the CFDA’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer initiative. The rug is inspired by one of the prints from my collection!
 
4. We’re launching our eyewear collection with Luxottica this fall, and almost all of the styles are under $200. Which is great for someone like me who’s always losing sunglasses.
 
5. My friend Keith Johnson, who finds amazing antiques and art for Anthropologie, has a new series, Man Shops Globe, starting this fall on the Sundance Channel. It airs Wednesday nights and will follow him through nine countries in his search for unique items.
 
6. My fall collection is inspired by Parisian style, so I’m looking forward to seeing Juliette Binoche in her movie Paris.
 
7. My twins' birthday is coming up and we’re all going paintballing, including me.
