Home Improvement
- We’re always trying to make Gilt Groupe better, but today we rolled out our most important upgrade to date.
- When you signed in this morning, you saw a new navigation bar with fresh tabs for Gilt Man and Gilt Fuse. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and you’ll see an improved sales calendar so you can pinpoint your favorite designers’ upcoming sales without leaving the page. We’ve made shopping easier with a single cart and checkout for all our departments. And now you can click through to Jetsetter, our new luxury travel site.
- With all these enhancements, we’ve taken care to keep your core shopping experience the same. It’s still Gilt Groupe. It’s still fabulously easy to shop. The brands are still the best and the prices are still irresistible. We’ve just added more!
- Gilt Man has his own space, while Gilt Home will have more sales every week so you can furnish your domain at a discount. And best of all, these new destinations open up even more room on Gilt for women’s fashion and accessories.
- Think of these new developments as the next generation of your Gilt Groupe.
- Sincerely,
- Susan Lyne
- CEO
- Gilt Groupe
This is excellent. The new upgrades to the website are so helpful and it makes viewing all the great shopping options even easier. Thanks!

I agree with Nancy, this makes it easy to browse the new shop additions while keeping the site looking fantastic. Nice work!

It's a great site and I really love surfing through it, but OHHHH you can't imagine my dissapointment when I wanted to make my first purchase! You don't deliver or work with fashionloving people OUTSIDE the US!!! Please, consider us :-)

Susan, Home is a fabulous category. My family has been in housewares all my life and we know that the nature of people is not only to buy clothes to feel good but items for the home. Whenever I buy something for my home, it feels like a new home. The items you featured are nice, however you a missing a huge niche. You have an "audience" find some unique items that are luscious, not generic, antique or modern, that your customer wants but has never seen. Wow.... to get some great things for my home at a huge discount now that's a score. I hope that I am not being presumptuous but Gilt is great. Regards, Robin Lechter robin@makeiteasymom.com

I second that last post! Can't you extend shipping to Canada as Yoox.com and Overstock.com do? With the Canadian dollar doing so well against the greenback lately I'm sure you'd see an increase in sales!

I was so excited when I heard that my friend had bought some amazing stuff from you guys at great prices but imagine my shock and disappointment when i found a bracelet I wanted only to find out I can't buy it because I don't live in the states. Could you please start shipping to Canada and the rest of the world? It seems so unfair that all these great sales are restriced to only the US :( Wouldn't it increase your sales exponentially if you opened up your shipping since there is such an obvious desire around the world to purchase the products you carry.

Thanks for weighing in so quickly. To ontheqt's comment: we couldn't agree more about the potential for Home. We have beefed up our Home buying team and over the next few months we will be expanding the range of categories and brands we offer, and increasing the number of sales per week. To all of you asking us to enable members outside the US to shop Gilt: we are working on it! It is as important to us as it is to each of you, but we want to do it right. We've been investigating several options and hope to role out something in the early part of next year. I wish I could tell you it is imminent but I'll keep updating you on where we stand. Susan Lyne

The best thing you can do to make Gilt better is ship to Canada! =\

LOVE the linked sites and upgrades, HATE, HATE, HATE the white on grey font that you have for logging in. White type is very difficult to read on reflective laptop screens, as it gives off a glare. PLEASE PUT MORE CONTRAST in your text! Looking forward to more...

If we buy you a case of real Canadian beer, will you ship to the Great White North? We have a lot of funny looking money that we're willing to spend on you. Better hurry before some web-savvy Canuck (like myself) just builds a homegrown version that kills your potential market.

Love to see the site / company expanding .. here's to hoping you put Hautelook promptly out of business or cause them to up the ante. But one request : easy on the pop-ups.

The buying team at Gilt is very talented. I'm a new memeber and I've very pleased with the selection and prices. Keep up the good work.

Had the same disappointing 1st experience trying to buy through your site. Please work faster on serving international customers, especially those with US shipping addresses (half the problem solved) & Virtual Visas /PayPal - If Amazon, Drugstore, OneKingsLane, Ideeli, Zappos, Editor's Closet, RueLaLa, Smartbargains, 6PM etc et al can do it, why not Gilt (which seems so sophisticated)?! Don't lose out on your potential for global sales, especially in these times of reduced US purchasing power!
By mengdarmali on November 1, 2009 at 12:53:11 AM
i can't comment no more, only if you can work on the global shipping! very nice selections on the brands, i love your idea and the business model, please ship worldwide!
By vero8 on November 1, 2009 at 02:31:27 AM
