Schmoove: A New Tradition

Schmoove: A New Tradition

  • It started in 1870 when Jean-Baptiste Rautureau began cobbling shoes in his French village of La Gaubretiere. More than a century later, brothers Yvon and Guy Rautureau were still in the shoe game, but they wanted to do something different. They started Schmoove (the name of a 1992 hip-hop song by Fu-Schnikens, go figure). Keeping the luxury of the French cobbling tradition alive, the brothers looked to the way we live now and crafted a line that perfectly blends sneakers and dress shoes. The result are styles that go as well with jeans as they do with a suit.

This was such a good add on to gilt. I own a pair of these already, but went ahead and bought two more. They really are stylish and comfortable.

I would love to see another sale of these, preferably with more styles and sizes. I couldn't buy any because none of the ones I wanted were offered in my size.

Does anyone know when these will go on sale again. I would probably buy five pairs of Schmoove's if they went on sale again.
