ZAC Zac Posen: The New Go-To for Everyday Glamour

Zac_byMichael_smZac Posen has never been one to play it safe. The CFDA Award-winning designer showed his first collection at 21, nabbed Sean “P. Diddy” Combs as an early investor, and released a buzzy collab with Target in 2008 — all the while dressing and mingling with his enviable coterie of friends and muses (Coco Rocha, Natalie Portman, and Claire Danes, to name a few). In Fall 2013, he was at it again with the launch of ZAC Zac Posen — on Gilt today — a contemporary line he calls a “natural evolution of the Zac Posen brand”.

“I’m inspired by a woman who is youthful, metropolitan, characterized by an eased sophistication, and has a strong sensibility,” Posen tell us. “The collection is designed for a customer looking for fashion, but with an accessible reach.” A lover of all things tailored and Old Hollywood, Posen has infused the line with the architectural craftsmanship and striking materials that have become his signatures: “What’s special about ZAC Zac Posen is the use of fabric manipulation techniques to achieve a truly day-to-night look. They can be accessorized elegantly for the daytime and paired with an evening clutch for after-work events.”

As far as dressing for spring goes, Posen’s playing favorites: “I always love stretch satin crepe for the impeccable quality of embracing and enhancing every body type; the knits are so comfortable and very stylish; and the printed georgette is a must for spring and summer. This season is all about florals, our very own Glasgow green, and jewel tones such as amethyst.”

Bronzer, cream blush, eyeshadow, and lipgloss in one easy place? Yes, please. This all-in-one wonder features the brand’s signature snap-and-slide packaging so you can tote along whatever palette combo you need for the day.

4. ESUM Face Brush Duo ($42)
These pro-grade favorites are the perfect companions to the Jouer palette, seamlessly applying and blending at once. Better yet? Each brush is handmade from the finest materials: Think natural fiber hair and cured birchwood handles.

5. La Roche Posay Substiane + Firming Moisturizer ($45)
Your complexion would be lost without a top quality moisturizer, and this daily treatment is just what the doctor ordered — literally. French dermatologists created the unique formula with healing thermal spring water to treat redness, wrinkles, and blemishes.

Now, don’t your latest additions deserve a stylish new home? Opt for Jouer’s pastel pink leather bag, which conveniently doubles as a luxe night-out clutch (genius). Fendi Selleria Collection: The Art of the Watch

Bespoke suits from Saville Row, haute couture gowns from Parisian ateliers — When it comes to next-level quality, it’s all about a custom craft. Leave it to Fendi, the near-90-year-old Italian luxury house famed for their furs, to inject that same standard of artistry into their fine jewelry. In 2010, creative director of accessories Silvia Venturini Fendi introduced the Selleria watch collection (debuting on Gilt today), which features interchangeable cases and straps for endless combinations to suit your style and mood. Swiss-powered and Italian-designed, the innovative watches are hand-stitched and crafted from the same Cuoio Romani leather used for the signature Selleria handbags, launched in the company’s first year. See the meticulous handiwork in the video above, and invest in a piece of history for yourself in our Fendi Watches sale.

Inside Dannijo’s West Village Studio

Sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder—AKA the design duo behind Dannijo, back on Gilt today—seem to be perpetually surrounded by chicness: They’ve collaborated with Rashida Jones and The Man Repeller, call Blake Lively and Beyoncè fans, and work out of a West Village studio cozy enough to call home.
