P.S.-I Made This…Erica Domesek’s Gilt-Exclusive DIY Boots

News flash: The nerd factor went out of crafting a long time ago, thanks to the rise of DIY genius Erica Domesek — blogger, author, and “fairy craftmother” behind P.S.-I Made This…. To celebrate the release of her new entertaining book, P.S.-You’re Invited…, we enlisted the lifestyle guru to create these exclusive-to-Gilt projects that couldn’t be easier.

The bow & chain boot:
INGREDIENTS:
- black grosgrain ribbon (available at M+J Trim)
- gold chain (also available at M+J Trim)
- Wythe NY over-the-knee boot (available at Gilt)

STEPS:
- String ribbon through both chain ends
- Tie the ribbon together at the back to secure


The embellished bootie:
INGREDIENTS:
- pearl buttons
- rhinestone buttons
- beaded buttons
- E600 glue (all available at M+J Trim)
- clip-on earring backing (available at amazon.com)
- Ava & Aiden pointed-toe wedge bootie (available at Gilt)

STEPS:
-  Glue the buttons onto the clip-on earring backs
- Clip the earrings onto the tops of the boots to embellish

The studded riding boot:
INGREDIENTS:
- Iron-on pyramid studs 
- E600 glue (both available at M+J Trim)
- clear sewing ruler
- white sewing pencil
-  Eighteen68 riding boot (available on Gilt)

STEPS:
- Using the clear sewing ruler as a guide, mark the side of the boot with the white sewing pencil at even intervals where you want to apply the studs
- Apply studs, using E600, on each of the white dots and press firmly to set the glue
