kate spade new york Creative Director Deborah Lloyd’s Holiday Hit List

The big day has finally arrived — kate spade new york is taking Gilt.com by storm! We’re delighted to offer a parade of fantastic finds, from elegant bedding and party-perfect frocks to fabulous footwear and dazzling baubles for a head-to-toe look. And for an extra-special treat? Creative Director Deborah Lloyd has curated a collection of her must-have picks and experiences for the holiday season.

The charming and brilliant force behind the beloved lifestyle brand, Lloyd adores color, and lots of it! Take the Little Nadine Satchel in bright lime: “I love a shot of bright color against a black winter coat. It’s so chic,” she tells Gilt.com.

Another important tip to remember? Don’t underestimate the power of a little glitz. The Glitter Bow Belt “combines two things I love most: glitter and bows. And I can slip it over anything in my closet,” she says. Nothing like a dash of sparkle to get you in the holiday spirit.

Once you’ve outfitted yourself in the enchanting accents and festive attire on sale today, you’ll need somewhere to show it all off. And who better than the jetsetting fashion maven (she vacations in Antigua every year!) to recommend some memorable metropolitan outings? The L.A.-based OC Helicopters turns Lloyd’s dreams into reality: “In a fantasty world, I’d commute to work by helicopter. I love adventure,” she muses. “What a glamorous way to see the sights and avoid the L.A. traffic.

An avid fan of fine French cuisine, Lloyd recommends NYC’s own Artisanal Fromagerie and Bistro. “[It’s] right downstairs from our new Park Avenue offices [and is] the perfect place for sharing an after-work glass of wine and cheese plate.”

Boston’s sophisticated eatery L’Espalier is on her restaurant wish list: “I don’t get to travel that much to Boston, but I always keep a running list of places that I want to try when I do, and this is number one.”

Check out these incredible Gilt City offers, plus an assortment of amazing presents picked by Deborah Lloyd, starting on November 29 at noon ET on Gilt.com!

The Perfect Cute & Comfy Outfit for Holiday Travel

Walking (or if you’re me, sprinting) through a packed airport during the holiday travel crush can be harrowing. But, it’s just that much nicer if you’re dressed in our go-to travel outfit. Yes, it’s exceptionally comfortable, but cute enough that you’ll feel good running into your high school boyfriend on the same flight home to visit his folks.

Start with the core building blocks – a great layering tee (extra points for a cashmere blend to keep you toasty on a chilly flight) and skinny stretchy jeans. Knee-high boots are key for quick on and off at security. Never, ever wear lace-up shoes, especially if you are prone to running late or being stressed at the airport. But a great flat boot lets you move quickly to get snacks and magazines!

Read more tips from our editor Melissa on StyleCaster.com, and shop the Perfect Outfit for Travel on Gilt.com, starting at 9 PM ET on November 7.
