#FlashbackFriday: The Evolution of the Tracksuit

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Run-D.M.C. — aside from how tricky it is to rock a rhyme — it’s how to look cool (and comfy) in the ultimate matched set: The track suit. And the trailblazing hip hip trio aren’t the only ones to famously don the sporty ensemble through the years. We’re taking a look back at some of the suit’s best pop culture moments: Overprotective, Adidas-loving father Chas Tenenbaum (and his carbon copy kids), J.Lo in her “Jenny From the Block” days (complete with Fly Girl hoops and the aptly cuffed leg), samurai sword-wielding Beatrix Kiddo (aka The Bride), and delightfully evil Sue Sylvester (who seemingly has little else in her closet). Ready for a modern take? Juicy Couture is back on Gilt tomorrow, serving up their signature plush velour pants, hoodies, and pullovers in new slim fits that offer polish over slouch.
