Etienne Aigner Handbags: Then & Now

The newly-relaunched Etienne Aigner makes their debut on Gilt today, and one look at their newest offerings alongside their archival handbags clearly shows how they’ve stayed true to the brand by incorporating signature details (from the ’50s and ’60s) in a fresh and modern way. Etienne — who had apprenticeships with both Christian Dior and Cristóbal Balenciaga — was known for putting a unique stamp on his designs with items he came upon in everyday life, including turn locks, studs, and horseshoe buckles, and that tradition continues across their handbags, wallets, and more… all of which you can scoop up now on Gilt.
