Exclusive Early Access: The World of Rachel Zoe

Rachel ZoeCaution, extreme glamour ahead: On Thursday, June 12 at noon ET, Gilt has exclusive early access to Rachel Zoe’s pre-fall 2014 collection, plus must-have shoes, jewelry, and more. You won’t want to miss the chance to scoop up Zoe’s latest pieces, which she calls “a really modern take on bohemian elements, androgynous dressing, and classic tailoring.” Take a peek at what’s to come tomorrow, along with styling tips from the mega-stylist-turned-designer.

Rachel Zoe shift dress

“A mod shift is perfect for just about every occasion. Wear the Kayde to the office with booties, a tailored jacket, and collar necklace. For Saturday shopping with friends, try gladiator flat sandals, round sunnies, and an oversized men’s watch.”

Rachel Zoe skirt

“I love a classic silhouette with a modern twist. The Indio fit n’ flare skirt is made of a lightweight neoprene which adds an element of sporty-luxe. Style it with silver metallic flats, black and white stripes on top, a mini crossbody tote and bright lip – effortlessly cool for a first date.”

Rachel Zoe trench coat

“A trench coat is a wardrobe staple and effortlessly updates your go-to jeans and tee. This season I especially love the fringed tweed and leather sleeves on the Christopher – it’s an edgy update to a timeless silhouette.  Keep your look sleek and style it with black skinny jeans, loafers and your favorite white tee.”

Rachel Zoe romper

“I’m obsessed with jumpsuits and rompers – wear them anytime, day or night!  For dinner with friends, style the Comit with edgy accessories – a sharp shoulder blazer worn over your shoulders, printed pointy-toe pumps, and a gold clutch.  For the perfect daytime look, opt for ankle strap wedges, a dark wash denim jacket, and mini shoulder bag.”

When will you designers design clothes for ADULTS. Everything is catered to the young people, We are still working class people who still have to wear clothes and we still like to look good when going to work, going to graduations, going to church, going out to dinner etc., but we can not find a decent dress that comes to the knee or just below the knee with SLEEVES or a short jacket that is made of quality fabric that is age appropriate. We HATE this Jersey stretch material that looks so CHEAP, and is so unforgiving, I refuse to buy it.

Have you forgotten about us working women over 40? You simply MUST do better. Whatever happen to nice SILK dresses, or gaberdine fabric? We don’t mind if a dress is $150 or over, we can afford it now, kids are out of school so we have a few extra dollars. Please HELP US Grown Folks find decent dresses.

I agree with Anonymous! Designers are missing out on the baby boomer sales. I’m 56 and love to look and feel great AND I have the funds to do it! Quality fabrics, simple but elegant designs with age appropriate lengths are a thing of the past. Someone please help us aging ducklings!

I agree with all of you! I don’t understand why designers try to jam such tacky looking clothing down our throats….the boomer generation has a far more disposable income and we can certainly afford it! Please listen to us designers! I would much rather spend more on a few quality pieces than squandering my money on lots of cheap pieces….

Personally, I love the ponte fabric with stretch…great for busty figures… but, please, sleeves to the elbow, skirts an inch or two above the knee. An added bonus, styles that can be altered to achieve a perfect fit!

Wow. This is called, FASHION. It is supposed to be edgy and push the boundaries. It is art. There are TONS of stores that sell EXACTLY what you are describing- Banana Republic, The Gap, Ann Taylor, every department store brand in existence., etc… Don’t look to a Ferrari for good gas mileage- go for a Prius.
