Team Gilt was more than ready to celebrate the long weekend in style, from the shores of the Hamptons to home in NYC. Rain or shine, our staff kicked back poolside, indulged in classic lobster dinners, and spent their days in the sand and surf — with kids looking super-cute in their patriotic best. We asked them to share some of their favorite moments from the fireworks-filled holiday. Happy 4th of July!
“Lobster and corn on the cob is the most all-American meal to me, and the best way to celebrate the 4th. And everything — everything! — tastes better in Bridgehampton.” — Tracey
“I was with my family — here is Charlie on our beach in Connecticut.” — Becca
“My family has a house right on the Hudson River and every year on the night of the 4th there is a big fireworks show on the water just steps away from our front door. Friday night we barbecued, relaxed, and watched the light show from our rooftop — it was absolutely incredible.” — Alex
“If posted, I will the undisputed winner of the Tiedrich Annual 4th of July Pie-Eating Contest.” — Julie
“We went 4th and dressed in red, white, and blue! And chilled poolside in Vilebrequins.” — Melissa
“My friends Sam and Megan and I on the 4th eating at The Crow’s Nest in Montauk. You can see the rain, but we were still trying to be patriotic.” — Danielle
“On Long Beach Island in New Jersey with friends and family — beach, BBQs, bike rides, house parties, relaxing, and fireworks.” — Stephanie
