10 Crosby is the diffusion line of CFDA award-winning fashion designer Derek Lam — a collection of elegant silk tops, little black dresses, and other wardrobe staples that effortlessly transition from day to night. Launched in 2011, and named after the address of Lam's NYC headquarters, 10 Crosby caters to contemporary women whose personal style skews cosmopolitan and edgy: Think a ribbed tank dress in bright tangerine, or a gunmetal grey hooded jacket constructed from metallic tweed and leather trim. Many of the pieces in 10 Crosby's collection pair up contrasting fabrics and asymmetrical lines, which add complexity to otherwise basic shapes: Plaid blouses feature double collars, and miniskirts are constructed from shredded denim and embellished with side stripes.
