Brand: Aigle
Material: Rubber
Origin: France
Farmers, fashionistas, and everyone in between love Aigle wellington boots. Headquartered in France, Aigle (pronounced "EH-gluh") owes its start to inventor Charles Goodyear, who sold the footwear manufacturing patent for his rubber vulcanization process to American businessman and Aigle founder Hiram Hutchinson in 1850. By 1853 Hutchinson's company was up and running — selling rain boots to French farmers in dire need of waterproof footwear. Aigle still makes farming boots as well as riding boots and boots for sailing, gardening, fishing, and many other activities. The company's reputation for top-of-the-line quality and attention to detail has landed its weatherproof wares in the pages of Elle and Vogue magazines.
