About Alessandro Oteri

In designing his elegant high-end footwear and handbags, fashion designer Alessandro Oteri derives inspiration from his native Liguria — the coastal region of northwestern Italy noted for its stunning beaches and promontories. The cousin of Saturday Night Live alum Cheri Oteri, Alessandro Oteri spent years learning his craft from expert shoemakers before creating his own collection in 2004. Made of fine leather and embossed suede, Oteri’s handmade shoes, boots and bags emphasize clean, sleek lines and possess a timeless appeal — think peep-toe pumps in classic beige patent leather, or an understated roomy satchel in dreamy pearl grey.
