Pom poms, gold tassels, pink feathers, and bling: these are a few of Atsuyo et Akiko’s favorite things. Since 2007, Brooklyn-based designers Atsuyo Kang and Akiko Mukae have been turning out whimsical children’s clothing, jewelry, accessories, and home décor items adorned with fun little charms or hand-screened with quirky prints. Here you’ll find gauzy tutus, feather-and-ribbon angel wings, vintage-style T-shirts, and organic cotton tote bags emblazoned with everything from Mickey Mouse to the words, “Je t’aime, Brooklyn.” Atsuyo et Akiko frequently collaborates with other designers and companies, including the Walt Disney Company and Tamar Mogendorff, to create glittery bird houses, Micky Mouse onesies, and other treasures.

Tees, jewelry, and more, marked by whimsical graphics and cheeky wordplay
Atsuyo et Akiko's imaginative designers create screen-printed kids' tees that are inspired by artists. The shirts here come in a muted color palette and feature designs like the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, and animals including foxes and deer. No outfit is complete without accessories, so let tiny trendsetters accessorize with the jewelry here. Our favorite is the locket on the white chain. So chic!
