Founded in 1919, B.D. Baggies first won renown for its chamois-soft, pre-washed men’s dress shirts. In 2010, label owner W.P. Lavori — the Italian firm responsible for bringing Americana auteurs Daiki Suzuki and Mark McNairy to Woolrich Woolen Mills — relaunched B.D. Baggies with a collection headed up by lead designer/creative director David Mullen, formerly of the cult menswear label Save Khaki. Mullen’s sharp take on basics and trim, modern cuts revitalized the label and broadened its fan base. With full lines of clothing for men, women, and kids, B.D.
