Seattle mom Nicole Donnelly created BabyLegs, her multimillion-dollar line of children's clothing, from a single pair of old tights. After realizing that her baby daughter needed time to heal from a bad case of diaper rash, Donnelly turned her daughter's leggings into leg warmers — creating a warm yet airy alternative to pants. Made of cotton, polyester, and spandex blends, BabyLegs products include BabyBodywear onesies, socks with animal and flower prints, and colorful legwarmers (NotSox) that also function as arm warmers. Hello Kitty-loving kids will love BabyLegs’ comfy ruffled socks and legwarmers featuring the iconic pink-bowed cat. In 2009, Donnelly sold her company to the United Legwear Company — a licensee of Puma, Skechers, and other famous apparel brands.
