Beaufille clothing and jewelry, by Toronto-based sister act Chloé and Parris Gordon, is a sartorial powerhouse catering to the effortlessly chic tomboy. Founded as Chloé comme Parris in 2009, the brand renamed itself in 2013 as Beaufille, which translates to “handsome girl”. The sisters Gordon blur the hard and the soft, with silky tops and skinny trousers that contrast with delicate hardware and semiprecious stones. Inspired by wildly diverse sources -- like the Renaissance, the art and culture of France and Canada -- and mob wives -- the sisters split the creative work between them: Chloe, whose tastes are more menswear-oriented, heads the ready-to-wear line, while Parris, who prefers a more feminine aesthetic, designs the jewelry and accessories: rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces that soften the sharp edges of the clothing.
