“It's a bling thing!” So goes the fun, celebratory tagline for Bella Bling: the San Diego-based label whose fine-quality clothing and accessories gives little girls an early start to loving all things cute and sparkly. California-based designer Kendra Bishop launched Bella Bling in 2002 after coming up empty-handed in a search for glittery hair accessories appropriate for her then-newborn daughter. Ever since, she's been filling the void with itty-bitty rhinestone- and blossom-strewn headbands and hats, ruffled bloomers and tracksuits, and series like Dream Baby — a line of bubblegum-pink onesies, beanies, and sleep sacks. Swarovski crystal-studded flip flops, animal print leggings, and flower-adorned crib shoes are just some of the unique pieces you’ll find in Bella Bling’s collection. A former child therapist, Bishop donates a portion of her line’s profits to youth empowerment groups.
