Inspired by the culture of ancient Egypt, designer Isaac Manevitz brings a modern and architectural sensibility to Ben-Amun jewelry, his collection of “wearable art.” Born in Egypt and based in New York City, Manevitz works with unusual materials such as pewter, coral, gold Italian resin, jet glass beads and crystal. The results are one-of-a-kind earring sets, delicate chain-link necklaces, and exuberantly curvaceous bangles that would make Cleopatra envious. Named after Manevitz’s eldest son, Ben-Amun jewelry has adorned style icons such as Kate Moss and Jacqueline Onassis and also graced many a model on the Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren catwalks.
