Serge and Yves Bensimon started their namesake brand as a tribute to their grandfather, who in the 1940s sold American surplus clothing in France. Inspired by the militaristic looks and well-worn fabrics of yore, their clothing quickly became a favorite of the Parisian youth. They opened their first flagship store in the Marais in the 1980s, and today have more than 20 stores all over the city. While their classic, relaxed wares remain top-sellers, it’s the brand’s sneakers and tennis shoes that have become modern-day icons. Available for men, women, and children, these canvas classics come in many colored variations with contrast rubber soles.
