Brothers Chris and Kirk Bray founded Billykirk (the name is a shortened version of William Kirkland, Kirk’s full name) in 1999 after stumbling upon an old leather watchstrap in a Los Angeles thrift store. It was love at first sight. The designers apprenticed with a third-generation craftsman to learn the techniques they now use to produce their exquisite leather and canvas belts, wallets, bags, briefcases, rucksacks, and, of course, watchstraps. East Coast-based since 2005, Billykirk now employs Amish artisans in rural Pennsylvania who use traditional leatherworking methods to turn high-quality domestic and Italian hides into functional yet fashionable bags and belts.
Whether you’re looking for leather belts, wallets, messenger bags or cuffs, this sale has what you need. All of these items are handmade in the United States, and many come from a group of Amish artisans in Pennsylvania. And if you’re looking for a break from all the leather, have at these handy canvas tote bags.
