Based in — and inspired by — NYC, Block Headwear offers up a full menu of hats for men, from trilbies and fedoras to knit beanies and baseball caps. Founded in 2000 by Cuban-born designer Ciomi McCabe, a Kangol alum with hat making in her blood (her father served as Kangol's CFO), Block uses centuries-old techniques to craft its chic, contemporary headwear. Even the name “Block” reflects the label’s respect for the past: a block is the piece of wood around which a hat is traditionally crafted. In addition to two season-specific hat collections released every year, Block Headwear also creates warm gloves and mittens, thickly knit infinity scarves, and other accessories to keep men warm and cozy during the winter months.
