Cain currently lives in New York City and works as an Art Director for the cosmetics company Kiehl's. Brooklyn Workshop, the brainchild of former attorney Alon Karpman, launched the Skatecycle in July 2010, but the idea for the company and the product had been in the works for nearly ten years. The first mass-produced, self-propelled hubless skate, the foldable, aluminum-framed Skatecycle is part bike, part skateboard, and weighs in at a lean 7.3 lbs. With a bronze medal from the 2010 IDEA Competition under its belt, the company is well prepped to forge ahead with its mission to bring riding innovations to the commercial marketplace.
