Peel-and-stick art pieces from Butch & harold are a statement of pure whimsy — from the name (designers Michele and Ariane Gold’s make-believe dogs) to the images (think hummingbirds and choo-choo trains). Prompted by the limitations of decorating in rented New York City apartments, the Gold sisters developed movable, reusable decals that wouldn’t damage walls. Their collection includes vibrant silhouettes and damasks, plus photo corners and trompe l’oeil frames, which fit as perfectly in a chic den as they do in modern children’s bedrooms.
