Years before becoming an award-winning fashion designer, Carlos Campos worked as a tailor to make ends meet. Originally from Honduras, Campos never strayed far from fabrics and thread — enrolling at NYC’s prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology and then making costumes for Broadway shows. In 2008 he launched his menswear collection and immediately won a following thanks to his chic men’s suits and other clothing inspired by everyone from 1970s-era David Bowie to the Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Campos’ impeccably tailored apparel reinterprets classic American designs by punching them up with bold color blocking or distinctive prints. From star-patterned shorts and bomber jackets to sports shirts in pastel hues, Carlos Campos’ collection offers everything you need to add some spontaneity to your wardrobe.
