Civilianaire’s American-made selvedge denim is at the cutting-edge of cool. The clothing and jeans company was founded in 2009 by Gene Montesano and Barry Perlman, founders of legendary Lucky Brand Jeans -- these guys know their business. Though Civilianaire’s selvedge raw denim is woven in Japan to exacting standards, the clothing is all assembled at their factory in Vernon, California, alongside men’s and women’s trousers, shirting, knits, outerwear and accessories. Civilianaire’s extreme eye for detail -- think herringbone pockets and natural twill waist bands -- is complemented by the brand’s most unique offering, its range of denim colors. Jeans come in the standard indigo as well as light blue, tropical blue, baby blue, gray, olive, and burgundy: a raw-denim-rainbow!
Camouflage might have been developed to help soldiers blend into deserts and jungles, but we don't know of a print that's more ubiquitous right now. Rather than serving to help you blend into the crowd, these camo pieces from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Bespoken, Ian Velardi, and others, ranging from cardigans to boots to bags, are now the most stylish way to stand out.
