Launched from a Portland, Oregon apartment in 2002, the headwear brand Coal started out as a labor of love inspired by founder Brad Scheuffele's circle of friends and family — a group of folks rooted in art, snowboarding and skate culture. Coal has since moved from Portland to Seattle, and has expanded its collection to include unisex caps, straw Panama hats, beanies, gloves, and knits. Despite its growth, Coal remains committed to its founding principle: to design hats that aren’t just accessories but indispensable parts of people’s wardrobes.

On the move, impossible to pin down, and only in town for the holidays, globetrotters have specific needs. Since you can’t easily pay for their passport renewal, we suggest comfortable clothes that are ideal for long flights and easy layering, luggage and related travel accessories, and, if you really want to blow them away, one of our Jetsetter packages—to Paris, Prague, or Budapest, perhaps. That’ll be sure to satisfy their wandering ways.
Once in a while, we wind up with some items that haven't found their way to a good home. It’s tragic, we know. But don't worry, there’s a silver lining. We’re offering them to you — at steeper-than-ever discounts — so we can make way for new gear. We’ve only got a few of each item in stock, so move fast.
