CXXVI Clothing Co.
Founded in Fall 2009 by old college buddies Matt Gorton and Jon Contino, NY-based CXXVI Clothing Co. — those letters are the Roman numerals for 126, for those of your keeping track at home — is an offshoot of the pair’s initial design studio, Onetwentysix. (The guys aren’t much for traditional versions of their chosen number.) Turns out Matt and Jon were as good at designing Americana-infused tees, hoodies, bags, and jewelry as they were at designing campaigns for their clients. No surprise, then, that in the short time since the apparel line’s inception it’s found it’s way into tastemaking boutiques the world over. But given its stateside aesthetic, it’s only fitting that the collection is all produced U.S.A.
