About Daniela Swaebe

Miami-based jewelry designer Daniela Swaebe describes her personal style as “organic glamour.” Inspired by nature, Swaebe’s creations — the exquisitely textured Crocodile collection, the autumnesque Feather & Leaves collection — feature fine gem stones and natural materials such as mother-of-pearl, coral, and turquoise embedded in sterling silver, gold, and even brown macramé rope. GALA by Daniela Swaebe, her first line of casually sophisticated jewelry, debuted in 2011 and includes classic shapes rendered in obsidian, glass, and crystals. The daughter of two gemologists, Swaebe was born to be a jewelry designer. Today she is a much-respected fixture on the Miami fashion scene, noted as much for her many charitable contributions and community service works as she is for her stunning jewelry.

Daniela Swaebe and Mouawad

Daniela Swaebe The daughter of two gemologists, Daniela Swaebe's lifelong passion for fine stones is intrinsic to her jewelry collection. A self-described classicist, Swaebe strives to infuse each piece with organic glamour, often incorporating turquoise, mother-of-pearl and coral into her designs. It's a sensibility that wears brilliantly, from the beaches of her native Miami to the pages of high-fashion editorial shoots where her work is frequently featured. Her eclectic background -- which includes an MBA degree as well as time spent helping her parents appraise stones from around the world -- reveals a strong sense of innovation. Every object is more extraordinary than the last. Mouawad Since the 19th century, the Mouawad family has been fashioning exquisite, often one-of-a-kind jewelry to an international cast of glitterati -- from Middle Eastern kings to, more recently, top-tier American clients. In 2003, for example, Victoria's Secret commissioned Mouawad to craft the world's most expensive bra, worth $11 million and worn on the runway by Heidi Klum. (Klum has since partnered with the company to develop her own signature jewelry line.) As CEO Robert Mouawad and his three sons continue to apply their passion for excellence toward strengthening their company's global presence, their Saudi Arabian creations can increasingly be spotted on stars such as Angelina Jolie, Gisele Bundchen and Scarlett Johansson. Sexy, classy and feminine, it's a design palette that's easy to translate to almost any occasion.
