British designers Clare and Mike Brown launched Darcy Brown in 2002 to create high-quality children's clothing that celebrates the innocence of little boys and girls. Both former employees of the Walt Disney Company, the couple founded their label after having trouble finding attractive clothes for their daughter, Darcy. Made of European fabrics, Darcy Brown's pinafore party dresses, gingham baby jumpers, corduroy pants and Fair Isle sweaters are grouped by theme — think "fairycake wedding," maritime, and "English countryside" — and fit kids ages zero months to 10 years. The label pays extra attention to nightwear, designing a collection that features baby pajamas printed with rockets and stars, woven dressing gowns and frilly nightdresses for girls.
