DKNY Bedding
DKNY, the secondary label of fashion designer Donna Karan, is as tied to New York City in the American mind as "I ♥ NY" t-shirts and rude cabbies. Nicknamed “the Queen of Seventh Avenue,” Karan launched her flagship label in 1985 with Essentials — an accurately titled collection of monochromatic, cashmere and jersey women’s separates designed for sophisticated working women. In 1988 Karan launched DKNY to bring young women into her fold; over the next few years she expanded DKNY to include denim (DKNY Jeans), menswear, fragrances, and — in 2001 — DKNY Home, a line of home décor essentials and accessories. Part of DKNY Home, Karan’s designer bedding collection makes heavy use of high thread-count Egyptian cotton, faux suede, silky charmeuse, and other sumptuous materials — transforming ordinary pillow shams, throw blankets, sheets, and duvet covers into luxurious affairs. Embroidery, sequins, ruffles, and other details add extra panache to quilts, comforters, and decorative pillows. From the classic, calming Willow collection to the delicate floral silhouettes of the Sweet Escapes set, these bedroom essentials will turn your bed into a relaxing oasis.
