About Donna Mizani

Fashion designer Donna Mizani was only 23 years old when she launched her eponymous women’s clothing line in 2008. Mizani's body-loving cut-out dresses — amped up with skin-baring lace and exposed zippers — are slinky yet sophisticated. Not all of Mizani’s designs are form-fitting: her best-selling Diamond Flounce Dress features a high neckline, front cut-outs and a flouncy skirt, and her studded jersey tees and T-back dresses drape loosely across the body. But if it’s body-con you’re looking for, Mizani’s collection has got plenty of it — just ask all the limelight-loving Hollywood celebrities who can’t seem to get enough of her designs.

Heat Wave: Miami Heat - 10/5/2010

While perfect for the tropics, this sexy, summery assortment would feel right at home in plenty of other hip locales. Striking colors and eye-popping prints give many of these mini sheaths, rompers and tees their red-hot appeal. In other cases, it’s all about the draping, as seen in dolman-sleeve poncho dresses, swingy studded halter-tops and silky jumpsuits with wide legs and blouson bodices.

The New Romantic

Meet the new romantic! A marriage of traditionally feminine and tough details give this crop of dresses, separates and accessories a distinctly modern appeal. Bows, lace and rosettes adorn dangerously high stilettos; drapey silk chiffon tops are less romantic thanks to dangling chain links; and a ruffled silk dress feels more punk than girly when rendered in eye-popping fluorescent pink. There is plenty to fall in love with.
