In launching Duchamp, his luxurious menswear label, Mitchell Jacobs looked to two main sources: the art of French surrealist Marcel Duchamp, and a treasure trove of 10,000 vintage cufflinks that Jacobs had discovered in Paris in 1987. Based in London, Duchamp started out as a men’s accessories brand specializing in hand-enameled cufflinks, handcrafted silk ties, and other wares, all of them made in the UK.
