After losing one of her most treasured scarves, Elizabeth Gillett decided to replace her misplaced accessory with a scarf of her own creation. Gillett’s stylish velvet wrap generated enough positive feedback to inspire her to keep designing, and in 1991 she officially launched her own accessories line. Elizabeth Gillett features elegant scarves and wraps made in India from the finest cashmere, tie-dyed cotton, silks and wools, hand screen-printed modal and viscose, and other luxe fabrics. Many of Gillett’s wares feature animal or floral prints and unexpected details such as eyelash trim and beaded hanging tassels.
