After overcoming anorexia in her 20s, Dallas-based designer Elizabeth Showers launched her eponymous label in 1996 “simply to make pretty jewelry for women.” Showers’ glittering creations reference the natural world, both in her choice of materials — white sapphires and quartz, deep green malachite, rare Lapis lazuli, and other precious gemstones — and her designs, many of which resemble flowers and plants.
