Estella founder Jean Polsky, a New York-based mother of three (Stella, Ike, and Bea), created her immensely popular designer kids’ clothing boutique after looking for baby apparel that was equal parts practical, stylish, and timeless, and coming up short. Certain that other parents shared her experience, Polsky — a former buyer for Bergdorf Goodman — and her husband Chike Chukwulozie created Estella. Launched in 2002, Estella carries trendy and fashionable clothes for newborn babies and children up to six years old. Many of Estella’s luxury infant and kids’ things are handmade by artisans in the U.S., Europe, Nepal, and around the globe, or have appeared in the pages of InStyle, Vogue and other prestigious publications.
