Fashion designer Shirley Lee founded Eubiq, her street-inspired collection of men’s clothing, after searching in vain for the perfect pair of pants for her boyfriend and masterminding her own men’s trouser design. Launched in 2007, Eubiq has branched out into designing well-constructed jackets, hooded raincoats, terrain jackets and shirts that don’t cost a fortune. “We take an ‘everyman’ approach to design — everything has to have a high wearability factor with functional design details,” Lee once told New York magazine. That sensibility has made Eubiq a hit both in Lee’s hometown of New York City and across the U.S.
