FlyKly Vintage Electric Bicycle.
Material: Metal, Plastic
Launched in July 2011, FlyKly is the brainchild of Niko Klansek, a former Slovenian basketball star and now the champion of a new breed of electric bicycle. The brand sports a roster of two models, the Modern and the Vintage, and though the smart styling on each is something to behold in its own right, the real story is under the hood. Well… actually it’s below the seat. Each bike is powered by a lithium ion battery that’s enormously efficient. We’re talking 1,000 miles of travel for about a dollar, here. And because FlyKly’s wares top out at 20mph, they’re federally registered as bicycles, so you don’t need a motorcycle license to partake, and you don’t need registration or insurance in most states. Looking for the future of urban transportation? You just found it.
