FontanaArte

FontanaArte

FontanaArte traces its roots to 1932, when Italian architects Giò Ponti and Pietro Chiesa founded the company as a division of the glass manufacturer Luigi Fontana. Aiming to unlock glass’ potential as a building material, the company achieved such early triumphs as stained-glass windows for Milan's historic Duomo and Brazil's Brasilia cathedral. FontanaArte has since evolved into a high-end source of lighting fixtures and furnishings, striving to constantly redefine glass’ language, use and expression. Its recent collaborations include projects with such international talents as Renzo Piano, David Chipperfield and Gae Aulenti.
