Long sleeve wool peacoat
Brand: Gloverall
Material: 80% Wool, 20% Nylon
Origin: United Kingdom
Since making its debut in 1951, Gloverall has outfitted everyone from Bing Crosby to Beatniks and Black Panthers in its distinctive coats. Originally an industrial clothing company, this family-owned UK label — founded by husband-and-wife team Harold and Freda Morris — started out by producing outerwear for the British military before deciding to sell its chic, Italian wool waxed duffle and monty duffle coats to civilians. Gloverall’s signature leather thong and wooden horn toggle front fasteners make its coats instantly recognizable and have cemented the brand’s reputation as the producer of the “authentic British heritage duffle.” In recent years Gloverall has designed coats for Fred Perry, J. Crew, YMC and other clothing labels and also released a collection of striped scarves inspired by military medal ribbons.
