Gola
In a country as football obsessed as England, Gola—the footwear brand founded in 1905—is almost a sacred word. One of the first companies to produce football sneakers, Gola earned a permanent place in England's football history when the World Cup-winning squad wore Gola boots (albeit with Adidas stripes painted on.) Though the brand went into hibernation, in the 2000s it was relaunched and brought their classic trainers to a new generation of football and footwear fans.
