Semi sheer jersey long sleeve dress with round neckline. Cut-out at front with tie closure at neckline, blouson bodice, panel waistband, gathers at waist and functional hidden zipper at sleeve cuff. Launched by iconic designer Roy Halston Frowick in 1968, Halston cemented its place in fashion history during the 1970s, when it became the go-to label for nightlife-loving jet-setters. Originally a milliner, Halston had created Jacqueline Kennedy's inaugural pillbox hats before moving on to clothing design — outfitting Bianca Jagger, Liza Minelli and other celebrities and socialites in his minimalist caftans, jumpsuits, and ankle-skimming dresses rendered in luxe cashmere and suede. After a lengthy hiatus, Halston reemerged during late aughts with collections that featured all the plunging necklines, flattering cuts and one-shoulder styles as their Disco-era predecessors. Through its diffusion line Halston Heritage, the label has expanded its repertoire to include chic leather handbags, shoes, and other accessories.
