Iconic fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi began sewing clothing when he was 10 years old, and by age 15 had started his own label. A native New Yorker, he studied at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology, presented his first collection in 1987 and subsequently conquered the fashion world with his quirky yet sophisticated women’s dresses, wedding gowns and other designs. Mizrahi’s chic tote bags and handbags, shoes, sunglasses and other accessories reflect the four-time CFDA award winner’s knack for whimsy and charm thanks to surprising pops of color and other one-of-a-kind details. In addition to his primary collections, Mizrahi has designed clothing lines for Target and QVC and even found time to appear on <i>Project Runway All Stars</i> as well as his own TV series.
