John Varvatos Star USA is the rugged younger brother of the Detroit-born designer’s flagship label, the John Varvatos Collection. Like its elder sibling, Star USA offers chic, downtown-cool men’s clothing and accessories inspired by Varvatos’ hometown and the charismatic rock musicians it has spawned — including Jack White, Alice Cooper and Iggy Pop. Sharp wool suits, military-inspired jackets, “authentic fit” jeans, sturdy hipster chukka boots, and hand-treated suede Schooner boat shoes are just some of the wardrobe essentials and accessories featured in Star USA’s collection, which debuted in 2006.
