Julian Chichester
Inspired by fellow Brit David Hicks and French designer Jean Royère, Julian Chichester creates an eclectic mix of luxurious furniture that evokes the home of a well-heeled world traveler. The London-based designer, who had worked as a stockbroker, had his “a-ha” moment while on a trip to Thailand and Burma. He began to import teak outdoor furniture, and then started designing formal indoor furnishings, launching his first collection in 1995. One can see his love of color and pattern in the upholstered pieces, while the lighting and case goods reveal his fondness for warmth and texture.

Furniture & Accessories: Julian Chichester & Mr. Brown
Trips to East Asia turned London–based Julian Chichester, a former stockbroker, on to design. It's not surprising then that his company’s transitional furniture evokes the finds of a well-heeled traveler. We have those treasures on offer here, from furnishings to accessories and art. Also find selections from his Mr. Brown line, on Gilt for the first time, which exemplifies the subtle British quirk and elegantly historical feel that he's known for.
Julian Chichester
This luxurious transitional furniture evokes the home of a well-heeled traveler, which is exactly how the London-based Chichester — a stockbroker whose trips to East Asia turned him on to design — could be described. The serpentine-fronted Bow chest is a little Old World meets New, a classic piece that nonetheless looks fresh. Similarly, the elegant Gill coffee table, with its textured, solid-bronze body and eglomise top, is equally suited to a traditional or contemporary interior.
