Description
The amfAR Staying Alive Foundation Ribbon
"A fashion ribbon with a double agenda: a new vision of the AIDS ribbon by Kenneth Cole in partnership with the MTV Staying Alive Foundation and amfAR."
Kenneth Cole has reinterpreted the AIDS ribbon to commemorate the discovery of the virus 30 years ago, and to ignite a new wave of awareness about the pandemic with the next generation.
The design features a double loop and symbolizes the coming together of individuals and the re-doubling of efforts in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
Ribbons will be on sale worldwide November 4-December 31 with 100% of net profits being donated to AWEARNESS, the Kenneth Cole Foundation in support of the MTV Staying Alive Foundation and amfAR.

Kenneth Cole
Founded in 1982, the Kenneth Cole brand began on film. Wanting to preview his line of shoes at Market Week in New York but unable to afford a showroom, designer Kenneth Cole changed the name of his company from Kenneth Cole Incorporated to Kenneth Cole Productions and applied for a permit to film The Birth of a Shoe Company. Just a few days later, he had sold forty thousand pairs of shoes. Today Kenneth Cole is more than just shoes. The brand sells footwear, clothing, and accessories online and in catalogs as well as in retail and outlet stores worldwide.
