K’NEX makes next-gen construction sets that get ideas sparking in kids of all ages. K’nex parts allow for endless assembly possibilities – no instructions required! From roller coasters to ball machines to Mario Karts (complete with Super Mario accessories), K’NEX toys encourage kids to design and experiment with their own fantastical creations. The brand is the brainchild of Joel Glickman, who spent a long evening at a noisy wedding wishing he had a way to connect the straws he was tinkering so that they could build whole structures. After some dabbling and product engineering, K’NEX (pronounced “connects”) was born in 1993. Soon, moving parts – wheels, pulleys and gears – were added to the mix, and now the K’NEX community is responsible for all kinds of crazy-cool innovations – room-sized rollercoasters! Giant calculators! Bikes with real wheels that you can actually ride! The versatility of the pieces make for limitless possibilities.
