About Ksubi

Melbourne-based surfers Dan Single and George Gorrow founded Ksubi in 2000 after becoming fed up with fashion’s denim offerings. Unable to find a pair of jeans that fit properly, Single and Gorrow launched their own clothing line — originally called Tsubi — and quickly became cult favorites in Australia. Riding that wave of success, the designing duo expanded Ksubi to include men’s and women’s sunglasses and eyewear, classic leather shoes and boots, dresses, and other threads and accessories. From wildly printed women’s cut-off denim shorts to black and gold-embroidered bomber jackets, Ksubi’s clothing expertly balances high-end sophistication and brash edge.

Ksubi - 10/28/2009

They've released live rats during a Sydney fashion show, dumped models into Sydney Harbour and collaborated with Jeremy Scott of the one-legged pant. George Gorrow and Dan Single, the Aussies behind the cult denim label Ksubi, are pretty much the coolest fashion designers out there. The pair, who met while playing in bands and surfing the beaches of Sydney, launched their label in 2000 after growing unsatisfied with how their jeans fit. The rest, you could say, is history. The daring, avant-garde label focuses, appropriately enough, on fit and funky finishes, like super-skinny "spray-ons." Ksubi's cult-like following and its collaborations with a range of artists, musicians and deejays have made it one of the most in-demand labels out there.
